VF-25F Armored Messiah Alto Version

This is my first Macross Frontier kit from Bandai. I believe all the otakus out there know the mecha from this series so without further ado. Let me present to you Armored Messiah Alto version in Battroid mode.

MS-06 Zaku 2 "Bronze Brute"

Build this kit for a Monoeye Group build in ZeroG. Initially I wanted to build this kit to resemble the Predator but I cannot find the right inspiration to carry out the plan. Hence, I decide to make some changes to the concept mentioned below:

"The long-winded war has exhausted all the resources of both faction. It is now a race to manage all the remaining resources in order to gain an advantage over their foe. Zeon has initiated an unit called the "Brute" and their main goal is to "cannibalize" whatever parts that they can get out there in the war zone. The Zakus in this unit have been reconditioned with conventional weapon for close melee combat. The pilebunker on the right arm is used to punch through the cockpit of enemy MS to "disarm" the pilot while the wing-blade on the left shoulder is used to cut off the limb of the enemy MS to disarm them. A beam saber is reserved to "silence" enemy MS that fails to cooperate."

Without further ado, let me present to you, the "Bronze Brute".












This is my best Zaku to date but I am looking forward to work on another Monoeye soon. Until then Sieg Zion!!!

Year 2010!!!

Wow!!! How time flies! 2009 is behind us and we are now in 2010. Without even realizing it, my blog has been abandon for more than 6 months. I can give myself a lot of reason why that happened but I am not going to do that and I believe no one would like to hear about it. So let us all move forward. To start the new year, I will like to take this opportunity to say Happy Belated New Year to everyone out there. Let us all do our best in 2010!


One of my new year resolution is to "scale" this "yama". Wish me luck!!! =P

Musha Keroro Robo

Kururu!!! Is this thing working??? You better get the camera working while I go and change my clothing.


Greeting Pekoponians. I should cut the crap and get straight to the point. I am here to extend my invitation to you all to join me OR face the consequence of extinction! I am ready for my close up.


Thank you Kururu. Now back to my declaration, I have kidnapped one of your scientist like what I did previously and force him into building mecha for the mighty Keron empire. He wont be around for quite awhile so stop looking for him.

MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame

This kit was produced around 2-3 years ago and it has been sitting on top of my shelf for quite a while. I have been working on mostly MG kits and I thought it will be refreshing if I can work on something else like a NG kit.

The Astray Red Frame is the second unit produced by Orb Union’s Morgenroete corporation under the Astray Project based in Heliopolis. The Project was initiated for the development of prototypes which will eventually be used for the building of the five GAT-X series gundams. Lowe Guele, a technician from the Junk Guild was the one responsible to recover the Astray Red along with Blue and some part from the Astray Gold in the wreakage of Heliopolis.

















This is practically an OOB kit with a LED installed on the head. It was surprisingly simple to get that LED into the head and the result looks good. Too bad, the light effect is not that obvious in the picture.

EXTRA!!!

Alot of people insist that I post some photos on how I install the LED so here it goes.



Installing the LED on the 1/100 Astray Red is a walk in the park. As if the kit is design to ease the modification. First of all, remove that red part located at the back of the head.

There is an empty space conveniently located right above the polycap. All you need to do is to enlarge that space for you to slip a 3mm LED into the area. I broke the right part of the head when I disassemble the kit to snap this picture. It was darn frustrating... @**$&!@#. Once the LED is in place, the wiring has to be soldered into the contact. The base of the red part that was removed earlier need to be enlarged to allocate space for the wiring.


A side skirt from the MG Strike Gundam was used to house the batteries.




It is a tough work for me but its worth all the effort once you see the final product.
