Treize has been intrigued by the Gundams and so designed a mobile suit which he called Epyon based on the data from the Tallgeese and the other Gundams.

Front view of Epyon. Epyon resembles Wing Gundam both in mobile suit and mobile armour mode. |

The segmented heat-rod is the main weapon on Epyon. |

Epyon also uses a beam sword to compliment it's heat rod. |

Mobile armour mode also known as Dragon Mode. |
This model was build in conjunction to a group build organize by a group of modellers in LYN. It has been a while since I have not build anything so the group build provided a good excuse for me to start modelling again. I have no idea why I choose to work with Epyon. The most likely reason is that it has been a very special mobile suit for me since Gundam Wing was the first show which got me hooked to gunpla a few decades ago.
The assembly of the model kit was straightforward and I have to say that I am impressed with the design of the newer model. I did not make any modification to the model kit due to the fact that there is little much you can do to improve it. For the colour scheme, I used a reference from Hobby Japan and make slight changes to suit me better.
At the end of the day, I did not win anything from that group build but I have lots of fun building and painting this kit. Now this kit resides in my display cabinet along with my other model kits.
