I have no idea what that idiot Keroro is thinking so I might as well take things into my own hand.

Turning side ways is a piece of cake.

Walking backward does not seems to be an issue.

Fewture Ex Gokin Black Getter

Ryouma found an abandoned Getter-1 on the moon after the Getter Ray explosion which have wiped out most of the human population on earth. He modified and repaired the machine based on his specific needs before piloting it back to earth. The heat from the atmospheric reentry burned the red paint turning it black hence the black appearance.

Front view of Black Getter. I was hesitant to get this initially but it change my mind when I finally owned it.

One of the main difference between this Black Getter and the original Getter 1 was the head design. Black Getter spots a trio of armored plates over the mouth and the sharp antennae on the head was removed altogether. Black Getter also uses a scarf which gave it an appearance similar to it's pilot.

You want a piece of me! Come and get it!!!

I have my doubts when I first came across this intention to buy an Ex Gokin. This are not the figures which I am familiar with. We are talking about a high end figure which has a price bracket of around USD400. I have ponder for days until I have finally decided to drop the hat and bought Black Getter. By the time I received it, all my doubts were completely replaced by awe.

The design of this figure was on a totally different level compare to the lower end figures. The figure was made up mostly of metal, hence the Ex Gokin namesake. There were a lot of detail on it which includes panel lines, rivets, bolts, nuts and not to mention the internal. Most of the joints on this figure were ratchet joints and they did a good job in holding this behemoth in place. The finishing on Black Getter was the most astounding of them all. It was smooth and glossy much like what you will expect from a brand new car. Do not get me wrong though. There were still some imperfection here and there but those were really minor and did not bother me that much. What really bothers me was that the figure was prone to paint chipping if it was not handle with care. That was a reason why I was reluctant to put this figure into aggressive action poses for the photo shoot.

As a conclusion, if you are a Getter Robo fan and you have some spare money to spend then it might be a good idea to invest in one of these. It was a piece of art which definitely deserve a place in your collection.
