Revoltech Hokuto no Ken #022- Rei Musou

Rei once again make an appearance in Hokuto Musou depicting him as a Nanto warrior who wanders the wasteland in search for his sister, Airi.

Out-of-box content for this figure.

Rei is outfitted with a new look much like Kenshiro.

Close-up. There is a slight improvement in the craftsmanship of the head sculpt.

Back-view of the figure. The detail is top-notch! Observe all the folds and trinkets on the attire.

Time to flex some of these muscle.

Nanto Suichoken no Ogi, Danko Sosaiken!

Another thing which differentiate this release with the previous one is the effect parts. The effect parts give the figure motion which is something we do not see very often.

It also comes with a leg effect part but frankly, Rei does not need this.

Thought I have enough of Hokuto figures but this proves that it is not the case.

D-Arts Mega Man X

Mega Man X also known as Rockman X was designed and created by Dr. Light to be the first robots who could think and make their own decisions without programming limitations. Light predicted that this ability could become a grave threat to the world if X ever decides to commit evil with his power. Therefore, he sealed X away into a special capsule which will test Xs' decision-making to ensure that X would be able to discern right from wrong and be always willing to do the right thing.

Out-of-box content of the figure.

Front view of X.

This is the X we have known all this while. This figure brought a lot of nostalgic memories with it.

It comes with a grinning/serious face which is an important accessories.

Time for word is over! It is time for action!

Although X was known to be a pacifist, he knew well that some time the hand of destiny has to be forced.

X clinging to a vertical surface.

X firing plasma bullets from his X-Buster.

The X-Buster can be charged for a powerful shot.

I was reluctant to start a new series of figure especially from a line which I am not familiar with but I was glad that I did not hesitate to do so. It has a good face sculpt, nice proportion, great articulation and has quite a bit of accessories. The best part was that the figure brought back piece of my childhood with me and I was able to relive that while I was playing around with it. This figure is a must-have for any Mega Man fans out there.

Revoltech Sci-Fi #022 Predator

The Predator, is a humanoid intergalactic alien race which live by a tribal culture. First introduced in 1987 as the main antagonist of the film Predator, the Predator later spawned several sequels and spin-off. While a definitive name for the species is not given in the films, the names yautja and Hish have been alternatively used in the other media.

Out-of-box content of the figure. It does not come with a lot of accessories.

Front view of the Predator. Or to be more precise, the Classic Predator from the first movie.

The mandibles are one of the most prominent feature on a Predator's face. The Predator was also referred by other characters by the name of "Crabface".

The hair-like appendages are similar to braids.

This figure comes with a mask which you can use to hide his ugly mug.

Enough talk! Time to go hunting!

Have to make sure that all the equipments are working fine including this control module here.

Shoulder cannon - check. Cloaking field - check. Infra red sensor - check.

Self destruct protocol - check. Okay! We are ready to go!

The wrist blade is the standard issue for any Predator.

The Predator view human as a worthy adversary and hunt them for sport. The skull is usually harvested as trophy. Side note, the skull is from the Skeleton Army.

In the expanded universe. The Predator hunt the Xenomorph aka Alien as a rite of passage for young Predator.

The Predator has to kill an Alien and later mix his own blood with the corrosive blood of the Alien to mark himself as a Blooded.

Nothing excites the Predator more than the joy of a hunt!

All in all, this is a great figure despite some of the flaws in it. I will definitely follow up with this series if Kaiyodo ever decides to release a figure for each and every Predators out there.

Saint Seiya Myth Cloth - Griffin Minos

Together with Wyvern Rhadamanthys and Garuda Aiacos, Griffin Minos serves Hades as the 3 Judges of Hell. Minos power lies in the Celestial Noble Star. Amongst all of the Specters in the Hades arc, Minos was shown to be one of the most powerful.

Front view of Minos with his surplice.

Close up on Minos. He is usually depicted with a bang to hide his eyes.

Griffon Minos' one and only known attack is his "Cosmic Marionettion" technique. As the name suggests, the move allows Minos to wrap his opponent with strings of Cosmo energy, entrapping and turning them into living, human marionnettes.

Once he has trapped his enemy, he will proceed to torture them before killing them.

The Griffon surplice is really something to behold. The Griffon is a mythical creature which is half lion half eagle. It symbolize nobility hence the Celestial Noble Star.

Minos was a prominent character in the Hades arc but he was killed after he jumped into the cosmic river in order to chase after the Saints.
