Revoltech Sci-Fi #001 Alien

As if all their current product aint enough to drain us off our hard-earn money, Kaiyodo figured that they might as well rub salt on our wound by introducing a new line of figure in the form of Sci-Fi character. Alien from the titular movie Alien was the first figure produced under this line.

Out-of-box content. There are actually quite a number of accessories here.

I have no idea where to start. Going through the origin of this character will most likely going to take more than a few days worth of writing.

I will use 1 word to describe this figure. It is "awesome"!

Site view of Alien. Every inch of this figure seems to be covered in detail.

Close up on the head. It actually took me a few days to appreciate all the gimmick on this figure.

The mouth is articulated. Pop it open and you will see a second row of jaw.

Ever wonder why the design of the head is transparent? Since the Alien was "conceived" by a human so it gets to keep some of it's human trait. And that being the human skull. I do not recall that in the movie but this is rather disturbing.

Still not convinced yet? Well here is another view of the figure from the back.

The segmented tail is bendable so you can pose it anyway you like it.

Here is a close up on the arm. Why is there an extra digit?!?

The movie used a lot of lightning effect to create a creepy environment to scare the heck out of us. Most of the time you would not even know how this "Alien" looks like.

And this, my friend is a "facehugger". It is the juveniele stage of the Alien and it's main purpose is to impregnate any host that it may come across.

The facehugger must come from somewhere right? Yup, it is hatched from an Alien egg.

The facehugger can be attached to the egg. Put a human figure infront of this and we can recreate the scene from the first movie.

This is a great figure. Of all the Revoltech figures that I owned to date, the Alien has the most extensive detail. My only complain regarding this figure is that you cannot pose it in a crawling position. That aside, I still said that this is money well spend!

The gimmick of tail is nice! I have the Mcfarlane version but I think this Revoltech version looks cute! :)
